Patriots.eu European Party is seeking a dynamic, creative and committed Communications Officer & Spokesperson to join the team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a central role in the Party’s day-to-day communications, media relations and public representation, ensuring coherent messaging across traditional and digital media while serving as the Party’s spokesperson.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Party’s daily communications activities, including social media management, drafting communication and press materials, maintaining relations with the media, updating the Party’s digital platforms with content, promoting events, and supporting the Party’s public outreach. The role also includes serving as the Party’s official spokesperson. It requires excellent written and spoken English, outstanding drafting skills, strong digital communication expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively. A strong commitment to the mission of the Party is essential.
Key Requirements
- Eligibility: Applicants must have the right to work in the European Union.
- Education: University degree required.
- Experience: Proven experience in communications, media relations, social media management, digital communications and content creation.
- Knowledge: A good understanding of European affairs, EU institutions and policies.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of additional EU languages is highly desirable.
- Availability: Full-time position based in Brussels, with a starting date in September.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Party’s official spokesperson, representing the organization in media interviews, press briefings, public events and other external engagements.
- Help managing the Party’s day-to-day communications activities, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Draft high-quality communication materials, including press statements, briefing notes, talking points, website content, newsletter and other publications.
Manage and develop the Party’s social media presence on a daily basis by creating engaging content, planning communication campaigns, monitoring performance and increasing audience engagement across platforms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for journalists and media outlets, responding to media inquiries and coordinating press opportunities.
- Regularly update and maintain the Party website with news, publications, event information and other relevant content.
- Promote Party events through digital communication campaigns and manage online event registration systems.
- Support the preparation of communication materials for conferences, political events and other Party activities, ensuring consistency of messaging across all communication channels.
